# @kody/linear-mcp ## Intent Wrap the official Linear MCP server (`kody.mcp["linear"]`) so onboarding is add-server-and-authorize. This package is the MCP helper. The existing OAuth/API package [`@kody/linear`](https://kody.codes/@kody/linear) stays separate and is the preferred invoke path once BYO OAuth or an API key is set up. This listing is meant to be forked. After you fork, connect **your** Linear workspace. Do not treat the live `@kody/linear-mcp` connection as yours. Share this listing as https://kody.codes/@kody/linear-mcp ## What it does - Report MCP connection status and setup guidance (root overview) - Smoke-test whether `kody.mcp["linear"]` is connected - List issues through the connected Linear MCP server ## Prerequisites / setup Add the official Linear MCP server, then authorize it. Do **not** register an OAuth app for this one-click path — for OAuth or API-key helpers, use [`@kody/linear`](https://kody.codes/@kody/linear). ```ts await kody.mcpServerAdd({ name: 'linear', url: 'https://mcp.linear.app/mcp', }) ``` Open the returned `authUrl`. Helpers then call `kody.mcp["linear"]`. The MCP *server* name stays `linear`. The `-mcp` suffix is only the Kody package identity. Agents: see [`AGENTS.md`](./AGENTS.md) for import paths and smoke snippets. ## Done when - Linear MCP server `linear` is added and authorized in your account - Smoke test returns `{ ok: true, live: true, via: 'mcp' }` (or `{ live: false }` plus setup when not connected) - `list-issues` returns issues from **your** workspace after the fork/connect ## Branding The community icon is Linear's official mark.
