README
Agent docsRoadster: Thrust Lab
An unofficial fan game. Drive a stylized thruster roadster around a desert test site and try the feats from the October 15, 2026 Roadster demo. Built with three.js (bundled with the app, no CDN).
Not affiliated with or endorsed by Tesla, Inc. or SpaceX. The car is a generic model built from simple shapes. No logos or trademarked assets are used.
Intent
Give Kent a fun, polished 3D browser game where you drive the new Roadster and do what the demo showed: a launch with a 0-60 timer, cold-gas thrusters, hovering, hopping a lineup of cars, an inverted ramp, mid-air spins, and a canyon jump. It works on desktop and phones.
Play
Open the package app. Click Drive.
| Action | Keyboard | Touch |
|---|---|---|
| Drive / brake | W S or arrows | Left stick up/down |
| Steer | A D | Left stick left/right |
| Rear thrusters | Shift (or K) | THRUST |
| Lift thrusters (hover, soften landings) | Space (or J) | LIFT |
| Track Mode (wing + suction, more grip) | T | TRACK |
| In the air: flip / spin / roll | W S / A D / Q E | Left stick |
| Reset / jump to a challenge | R / 1-7 | RESET / tap a challenge |
| Sound effects / music | M / N | Buttons at top right |
Inputs you are holding when you leave the ground do nothing until you let go once. That way, holding W over a jump keeps the car level.
Challenges
- 0-60 in under 1 s. Stop in the launch box. Wait for green, then hold W and Shift.
- Hit 230 mph on the 2.5 km runway.
- Hover for 5 s and land softly.
- Hop all 5 vehicles in one flight.
- Inverted ramp landing. Ride the curl upside down, flip upright, and ease down with Space.
- Mid-air 360. Spin a full turn before you land.
- Canyon jump. Clear the 120 m gorge.
Progress and best times are saved in the browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to a server.
Done when
- The app loads with no console errors on desktop and mobile.
- Every challenge can be completed.
