@kody/stripe-mcp — agent notes

Human setup and intent live in README.md. This file is for agents: imports, smoke execute snippets, and edge cases. Do not treat the live @kody/stripe-mcp MCP connection as the caller's — fork and connect their workspace. Do not disable live webhooks or jobs (this package has none).

MCP connection

ItemValue
MCP server namestripe (not stripe-mcp)
URLhttps://mcp.stripe.com
Runtimekody.mcp["stripe"] after mcpServerAdd + authorize
API-key fallback@kody/stripe

Import paths

ExportImport
root overviewkody:@kody/stripe-mcp
smoke-testkody:@kody/stripe-mcp/smoke-test
list-customerskody:@kody/stripe-mcp/list-customers

Prefer static kody:@kody/stripe-mcp/... imports from execute. Do not lead with packages.invoke.

Smoke test (read-only)

import smokeTest from 'kody:@kody/stripe-mcp/smoke-test'

export default async function main() {
	return await smokeTest()
	// Without MCP: { ok: true, live: false, setup: { ... } }
	// With MCP: { ok: true, live: true, via: 'mcp', tool, ... }
}

Overview (no network probe beyond connection check metadata):

import stripeMcp from 'kody:@kody/stripe-mcp'

export default async function main() {
	return await stripeMcp()
}

List customers when connected:

import listCustomers from 'kody:@kody/stripe-mcp/list-customers'

export default async function main() {
	return await listCustomers()
}

Edge cases

  • Package id is stripe-mcp; MCP server name stays stripe.
  • This package does not use stripeApiKey secrets — that is @kody/stripe.
  • Never run money-moving Stripe actions through smoke tests.
  • Fork/adapt: connect the caller's Stripe MCP workspace; do not reuse the platform listing's connection as theirs.
